Every Porsche 911 is special, but the 964 (1989-1993) is particularly significant, being the first all-wheel-drive 911 produced, thanks to its shared drive system with none other than the legendary 959.
Another element of the 964‘s importance is its ingenious rear suspension system, designed to provide controlled rear toe-altering geometry changes under braking and cornering. Key to this are the semi-flexible suspension spring plates, allowing rotation and yaw to the rear suspension arms.
However, after decades of use, the original steel spring plates can oxidise after years of under-body exposure, and the encapsulated bushes and bearings wear due to split rubber seals and water/dust ingress, leading to unpredictable and imprecise handling.
With original parts long discontinued by Porsche, the current solutions are either expensive spherical jointed, adjustable arms designed for motorsport, upgraded bushes that require labour-intensive fitting into old metal, or aftermarket arms complete with standard bearings that offer no real performance benefit.
Powerflex has the solution: PFR57-107 Rear Suspension Spring Plate – a direct bolt-on replacement that offers the following technical advantages:
This is a true premium upgrade, providing greater chassis control and precision, engineered for high performance and increased durability.
As with our regular suspension bushes, these parts come with our unrivalled Lifetime Warranty for your peace of mind.
